The Fellowship of the Ring (Part 1 - 4)
Review of The Fellowship of the Ring (Part 1 - 4)
Part 1: The Peace of the Shire and the Approaching Shadow
In the first part, we are introduced to the peaceful and quiet world of The Shire, the homeland of Frodo Baggins. Life here is simple, with hobbits living comfortably without much trouble. However, this peace is soon disturbed when Frodo inherits a powerful and dangerous ring. Gandalf, the wise wizard, reveals that the ring has dark powers that could destroy the world. To save everything, Frodo must leave The Shire and embark on a long journey full of dangers.
Part 2: The Council of Elrond and the Road Beyond Rivendell
After a perilous journey, Frodo and his companions reach Rivendell, where an important council is held to decide what should be done with the ring. Here, we see various characters from different races—Men, Elves, Dwarves, and Hobbits—coming together to discuss how to destroy the ring and defeat Sauron. A crucial decision is made: the ring must be destroyed in Mordor, the very place where it was forged. Frodo, though scared, agrees to bear this burden. He begins an even harder journey with the formation of The Fellowship of the Ring, joined by his friends and several new characters who will assist him.
Part 3: Lothlórien and the Burden of the Ring
After losing Gandalf in Moria, the Fellowship continues their journey to Lothlórien, an Elven forest. Here, they receive protection and aid from Galadriel, the wise Elven Queen. However, despite being safe in this place, Frodo feels the growing weight of the ring. Every step feels heavier, and he starts to sense the dark influence of the ring constantly pulling at him. With the help of Galadriel and some precious gifts, they continue their journey with a little hope, but internal problems begin to arise, especially with Boromir, who starts doubting the path they’ve chosen.
Part 4: Breaking the Fellowship and the Road to Mount Doom
In the final part of this section, the tension within the Fellowship reaches its peak. Frodo, realizing that the ring is too dangerous for anyone to possess, decides to continue the journey alone. Sam, his loyal friend, insists on accompanying him. Meanwhile, Boromir, who desperately wants to use the ring to save Gondor, attempts to take it from Frodo, which leads to a violent conflict. Frodo escapes, but Boromir is mortally wounded during an orc attack and dies in Aragorn’s arms, seeking redemption for his actions.
The Fellowship is officially broken, and Frodo and Sam continue their journey alone. They enter the wilds of Middle-earth, navigating dangerous landscapes, avoiding Sauron’s forces, and facing constant threats from the dark creatures that roam the land.
